Hey, Yeah it has been a bit since I thought about this blogging thing. Sometimes I feel I have something to say but mostly not. Just going to wing it here. Married 16 years this past Monday. We didn't do anything as we are both taking a diet. Can't really go out to eat and beer consumption has hit a new low at my place. I love my wife as much, if not more, since we got married. I work nights and my wife works days and 2 kids in school doesn't make for a lot of quality time together. We'll get some time together soon I'm sure. OK my favorite beer, if you care to know this, is Milwaukee's Best Light. I buy it in 30 packs for 11.79 at Walmart. In Michigan we have a can deposit of .10 per can. Some of my friends just throw out their cans. I don't have money to throw away so I save mine til I have a shopping cartful and then take them back. Then I get another 30 pack or two. And do the process over and over. I've tasted almost every domestic beer on the market and Milwaukee's Best Light always comes out on top (in my unprofessional lab trials, where I drink the 12 or 24 pack to the, sometimes bitter, end). Most of them are OK but I don't like Anheuser-Busch products. Must be the rice they use or something. Most Miller products are good. Coors is good also, when I visited a couple buddies in Colorado, we went up to Golden and through the brewery. At the end of the tour there was a small tasting room where you could try the different types they brewed to your hearts content. Trouble was you could only do the tour once a day. Most of the other brands like Keystone, Stroh's, Pabst, and all Canadian brews are OK so long as someone else is buying. OK then,it's hot tub time. So I'll be back at you one day soon.

06/13/03 Ok then. The Mighty Ducks eh? Bastards. Weekend coming up and going camping in the Great UP of Michigan. Gods country my friends. Sunny and 70 supposedly. Summer may finally be here. Survived soccer season and schools last day was yesterday. Got the motorcycle out but have not rode it much. Maybe now that school is over I'll be able to. My daughters teacher gave her a cd with pictures from the past year. But I need to download a viewer I think as I haven't been able to get it open. Maybe I'll check some more in the files. Could be some other method of viewing ppt files I'm just not seeing. Could be pissing in the wind too. I really enjoy my computer but sometimes things appear to be needlessly complicated. Think I'll find something else to do now. Beer is good.

04/20/03 Ok then. I've had a real good day, week, month. Almost all good things happening and not too much bad. The Red wings lost in the first round. What the hell was that? Bad for them and me except now I have the summer off. I mean the hockey season runs until like the middle of June. Way too long. Sooo summer is here early! Let's go camping. Soccer for the kids was supposed to start last week but we got a foot and a half of snow. Now it's next week. And we'll be running 4 days a week after school plus scouting and whatever else they can find to do. Not complaining mind you. Busy kids don't find time to get into trouble. Not too much anyway. Easter Sunday has been just a great day. My wife took the day off and we visited family and had a good ol' time. Getting the motorcycle out. Been like 3 years since I had it on the road. Couple people I work with don't believe I have a bike so I'll ride it in to quell their doubts. I may start riding it more but we'll have to see. Getting soft in my old age. All righty then it's getting late and the alarm will go off early. Beer is good.

03/30/03 OK then. Is it just me or Georgie's little war as boring as his Daddy's? My feeling is we can never win this, or any, war with the kind of media coverage I'm seeing. Freedom of the press has really gotten out of hand. Bill O'Reilly thinks his kind our keeping the government honest. No secrets and all that but hell Arabs watch TV too. I've seen a little of the arab coverage and at least they show the real stuff. Not sanitized like American TV. And the reporters tell all the plans that the military keep them abreast of. Meanwhile , as we are preoccupied with war news, Georgie and his bud Dick, are sneaking around trying to undo all the shit Bill C managed to accomplish. We went from a 2B budget surplus, to something like, a 3B deficit in less than 2 years. Hey! George where's the money! You don't know me but I'm really apolitical. However the Republican's are starting to make me worry about not only my future but my children's as well. But hey enough of my soapbox. On a slightly brighter note. The person thieving the laptops from my place of employment was caught. A young guy, 23 years old, father of a 2 year old daughter. Shot his future in the ass. I can't imagine what possessed him. All kinds of rumors floating about him even though 7 of the 8 laptops he stole were recovered. What's up with that? Been trying to talk my wife into going back to college. She's talked about being an RN like forever. I know she's smart enough. But yeah it would be tough raising 2 kids and working 4 days a week. She works days and I nights so I'm not real sure how we could pull it off. I told her times a wasting. Easy for me to say. Well okay then beer is good.

Yes I'm back with nothing on my mind. Got many older albums [pre cd] that I'd like to try and burn onto cd. Found out my oldest girl likes old time rock-n-roll. That'll be my project this week. I'm ready for the cold weather to go away now, it's March and am thinking warm. The place I work lost 8 laptops in last couple months and it makes everyone who works there look bad. Unfortunately looks to be theft. The company is not real big but one would think they [ITS] could have better security. Any one listen to Bill O'Reilly? Guy is an ass about 95% of the time. Agree with him occasionally though. And how about all the b.s. paper they put in , say, a credit card or utility bill. Leave that out and save about $20 a month. And speaking of credit cards does anybody get more solicitations than me? 5 today alone and get them everyday. Well okay then beer is good.

02/26/03Red Wings win the Cup, lead by Stevie Y. by his spirit if not his physical presence on the ice. G.W.Bush is quite the rascal thinking he can do in Sadam Hussein. Watch out George, he's probably in cahoots with that wacko in North Korea. Then we the U.S.A. will have our military hands full. Fortunately, for me, I'm too old to serve my country in a war [already put my 4 years in, thank you] but I'll back the boys anyway I can. Does anyone really watch that fat broad Anna Nicole? She couldn't give the pope a hard on. And boring too. But then outside of sports programing TV sucks. Bought a new Dell pc recently. We use them at work. I think my home unit rocks. Am I the only pc user in this world who doesn't play games on it? That's not what I bought it for. All my friends and aquaintances ask how's it for gaming but I wouldn't know. When I was young and foolish I would go to a bar and drop many quarters into pinball and other electronic games. At the time it was cheap entertainment. If I had those quarters now though... My wife thinks I just surf the net looking for porn. Sorry Hon but I don't. However if you don't start putting out, why yes I may ... Anybody out there gives a shit about Detroit sports team? Well the Lions will still suck and Barry won't save them let alone help. Mooch is a step in the right direction and should have been done 2 years ago. But the team does not have the personnel to do much for a couple more years, maybe a couple years. I hate the NBA. Baseball lost me years ago. Well, I still like minor league baseball. At least they try to be entertaining. So its football and hockey. Nascar is fun live but I fall asleep watching on the tube. Round and around they go...zzzzz. Well okay then beer is good.
